Lee Man-soo

Man Soo Lee is the bullpen catcher for the Chicago White Sox. He is often seen playing catch with the center fielder between innings. He played 16 seasons with the Korean League Samsung Lions and was known as the Babe Ruth of Korea, hitting 252 home runs and plating 861 RBIs during his career as a player. He won the Korean League Triple Crown in 1984 with a .340 batting average, 23 home runs and 83 RBIs. He was voted by the fan's as the Athlete of the Century in Korea [citation needed].

As a coach in the United States, Lee began his career as the hitting coach for the Class A Kinston Indians in 1998. He moved to the White Sox organization in 1999, serving as the first base coach for the White Sox AAA affiliate Charlotte Knights until assuming his current position in 2000.

Lee is married and has two children, is an avid golfer, and is known to teammates by his nickname "Hulk". He currently maintains his own web site: www.leemansoo.com

Man Soo is a fan favorite. He is often talking with the fans and playing with the kids. Man Soo always has a smile and has been known to smuggle some of the bullpen supply of candy to distribute to the fans. He made ESPN's SportsCenter in 2005 when he and Mark Buehrle ran through the field in a rainstorm and slid across the tarp over the infield.

Man Soo is a sincere christian and married with two sons.
